Actividad paralela de celebración Semana Marítima Internacional 2010, del 20 al 24 de setiembre de 2010.
La División Marítima Portuaria del Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT), aprovechando la celebración de la Semana Marítima Portuaria del PROCIP, organizó el curso como preámbulo institucional para la reglamentación e implementación del convenio SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea – Convenio Internacional para la Seguridad de la Vida Humana en el Mar) en Costa Rica.
La actividad contó con el auspicio de la Comisión Centroamericana de Transporte Marítimo (COCATRAM) y el apoyo de la Prefectura Naval de Argentina que aportó al instructor Ing. Naval Héctor Ángel Aguirre, para realizarse del 20 al 22 de setiembre en la Sala 2 del Paraninfo Daniel Oduber Quirós de la UNED de Costa Rica y del 23 al 24 de setiembre, en las oficinas del MOPT.
Hubo también una conferencia resumen sobre el convenio SOLAS, el lunes 20 de setiembre, de 9:00 a.m. a 11:30 a.m., en coordinación con el programa del Seminario Marítimo.
Participantes del Taller-Seminario Convenio SOLAS organizado por el MOPT y auspiciado por COCATRAM.
